Each week on Thursday, I will post a video (at least most weeks it will be a video) that relates to our selected POW (Passage of the Week). The link will always be placed here so you can access it with one click. :) Sometimes, the posting here will be early but you will not be able to access the video until midnight, Eastern Time, on Thursday morning. You Are the Light of the World
Week of 09/08/2025
Our SIT for this week begs the question -- who is the light of the world? Do you remember ever singing the
song, "This Little Light of Mine"? Jesus tells us to shine
for Him and be the light of the world. He also tells us
that He is the Light of the world. I believe we live in His
Light and reflect that Light to others so that we are the
Light, as well. What do you think?

His Joy ... Our Strength

When God gave me this passage for this week, I thought it would mean another field trip to video the SIT (Scripture Insight for Today). But God is amazing and provided me with this opportunity right from my own backyard. God's Joy certainly does translate into our strength. God Bless. :)

Way Truth Life ... The Only Way
Week of 09/22/2025
Even if this verse wasn't my confirmation verse, it would still be one of my favorites. We need to remember that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Not only that, but He says that He is the ONLY Way to the Father -- the ONLY Way to eternal life.

Such a Time as This ...

Happy Thursday, Everyone. You will notice that our SIT (Scripture Insight for Today) looks a bit different from the usual. That is because I experimented with creating it in Canva with video clips that fit with what I wanted to say and then voiced over the video with the message. I'll be interested in your feedback. I know that if I were to do it again, I would change the order of the words for each experience.

Don't you love how God uses nature to help us understand His Word? This small thermal that is along the side of the road in Yellowstone National Park is the perfect illustration of the overflowing Joy that we are to have in Jesus. What do you think?

We seem to think that only those who hold "official" ministry positions can "work for the Lord." But Paul tells us that we need to work as though working for the Lord no matter where we work or what we do.

Cherising Freedom

Happy Thursday, Everyone. In our nation, we cherish the freedoms that veterans and active duty servicepeople have secured for us. But more important that those freedoms is the Freedom that we have in Jesus. There is no greater Freedom than that of being set free by the Son of God (John 8:36).
An aside -- while I was geting this video ready for posting, I was able to overlay the cross over the flag that I had already videoed ... what do you think?
