Best Warranty Ever

Happy Wednesday, Everyone. 😊 When you go car shopping, how important is the warranty? You want to make sure that your new car is covered for all of the important things that could go wrong. – with the least amount of financial outgo as possible.  And we look for the best insurance coverage we can find within our budget – for the same reason.

But God gives us a better warranty and insurance than we can get anywhere else. He promises to wrap around us like the mountains surround Jerusalem. And not just for a season, but forever.

Usually, when I think of God’s protection, I think of a warm, fuzzy blanket wrapped around me, keeping me warm and safe. And God is like that, too, isn’t He – giving us all His Love every moment of our lives. 

But He also promises us His Strength. That Strength is even better than the mountains that surround Jerusalem (and other places in the world). Because it is an eternal Strength that is with us every moment of every day of our lives.

And He doesn’t only surround us with this Strength, He infuses us with it. When we feel like we can’t take another step, when life is so overwhelming that we don’t know where to turn, or when hope seems so very far away, The Strength that God gives us moves us forward, depending on Him to get us to the next step. One step at a time.

I love the feeling of God wrapping me up like a warm, fuzzy blanket. That brings great comfort to my soul. But I also am so very grateful for the mountainous Strength that He protects me with – and that He provides me with – so that no matter what is going on in my life, I know that I can get through it. Because I serve a God who is mightier than any mountain and stronger/better than any warranty or insurance. And He loves me more and He loves me better than anyone else can or will.

I pray that we would all allow our God of Love to also be our God of Strength – like the mountains. I pray that we would all allow Him to surround us with that Strength, like the mountains surround Jerusalem. I pray that we would all allow Him to guide, lead, and direct us through every season of our lives, knowing

that He loves us best and that His Strength is something that we can depend on forever.
