From Hidden to Revealed

Happy Wednesday, Everyone. đ Once again, God was pretty clear that He wanted this passage for this week. He has actually been telling me that something hidden will be revealed for many months. But for this week, He seemed insistent. And you know, when God speaks, we need to listen. đÂ
Â
Jesus, at this time, is getting His disciples ready for the persecution and abuse they will suffer because of Him. Even death may come because of the Gospel proclamation. And this message is for us, too.
Â
We may not face death in the United States for proclaiming the Gospel, but there are countries in the world where this is a very real possibility. I have great respect and admiration for those who donât turn their back on their faith when threatened with death. I wonder if we would be so brave as to continue to speak our faith in the face of certain death.Â
Â
Thankfully, we do not have to deal with that here in the US. But we may face persecution and criticism from family and friends for our outward witness to the Gospel. Or maybe when we follow Godâs call when family and friends donât agree and try to change our minds â that can be really uncomfortable, I can tell you.Â
Â
But Jesus tells us to have no fear. Even in the midst of attacks and criticism, donât be afraid. God cares about you and knows everything about you. He knows you are fulfilling His purpose for you. He encourages us to just stay the course. Continue to acknowledge Him.
Â
Eventually, everything will be revealed and known. We donât know when, but it will be. I think we live every day wondering whatâs going to happen next. God has a plan. He reveals it to us in His time. We may not be patient in the waiting, but He is patient in the revealing.
I donât know about you, but I have many times wondered what God was up to in my life. He called me to do something but then seems to remain silent. I have learned to not ask for patience because I know how He teaches me. But I have also learned that when the time is right, He will reveal to me all that I need to know to fulfill His call. He equips me, leads me, guides me, and directs me. No need for impatience with our God â He really does know what Heâs doing! đÂ
Â
There have been times when I have been afraid to step out and do what God has called me to do. That is when these words ring in my heart â âhave no fear of them.â God is always there to protect us and provide us with all we need to complete our mission.
Â
Have you ever been fearful about what God is/was calling you to do? Were you patient in the waiting or frustrated that God took His time to reveal all the details to you?
Â
I think that we are going to have to wait until Judgment Day to know all that is hidden. I do believe that at that time, all will be revealed. It may seem a long way off, but as I said â we have to remember that Godâs timing is always perfect â and His plan is always the best plan.
Â
So do not fear â God is with you and me and everyone and will carry us through our journeys â always.
Â
Blessings and Love, đ Ceri
