Happy Wednesday, Everyone. đ As you may remember, Greg and I were on vacation the last two weeks. We spent time in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. We listened as creatures great and small praised God in their obedience to Him.
Â
The wind and the waves sang along with the many-varied birds that gave full throat praise to their Creator. We joined in, as around every corner, we were saying, âThank You, God,â
Â
While different from many past trips, we saw so much evidence of Godâs creativity that at times it was overwhelming. From the Old Faithful geyser and the other thermal areas, to being finally able to get up to the overlook and see Grand Prismatic Spring to the wildlife that was in abundance, we never ceased to marvel at the awesomeness of our God.
Â
As we saw bear and bison, elk and pronghorn, swans and pelicans, we were reminded that each one of them was uniquely created by the same God who uniquely created each and every one of us.
Â
And the wildflowers joined in the song of creation, too. Lupine, Indian paintbrush, balsamroot, and others were decked out in their finest in praise of their Creator.
Â
I know why God gave me this passage for this week. Over the last two weeks, we lived this verse along with all of the other plants and animals that honor Him. I daresay they are much better at obedience than we are. They donât question anything they are told to do or be. They just exist to give praise and honor and glory to our God. I think we could use some lessons from them about that, donât you?
Â
How do you praise God with every creature that has life and breath? Do you see and hear the worship of the trees and flowers, birds and bees, and other creatures as they go about being and doing all that they have been created to be and do?
Â
May we all take a lesson from the sounds of nature as we praise and glorify our God and King for all that He has done for us.
Â
Blessings and Love, đ Ceri
